About

SFRSD

SFRSD is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization. Since 2017, it has been operating in Northeast Syria under the name Tab Top. Following the fall of the Assad regime, the organization was officially registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in accordance with Law No. 1969 on 20 May 2025.

SFRSD adopts a participatory, knowledge-driven approach that emphasizes the co-creation of knowledge through structured dialogue with communities, engaging both institutional stakeholders and individuals. By integrating diverse perspectives and contextual insights, this approach informs the design of inclusive, evidence-informed interventions and solutions.

SFRSD believes that inclusive dialogue, collective reflection, and multi-stakeholder engagement are essential to developing well-informed perspectives and accurate contextual analyses of complex social issues.

SFRSD’s vision is grounded in the belief that meaningful social change emerges from active civil society, empowered individuals, and responsible citizenship. By creating inclusive spaces for dialogue, supporting informed individual agency, and promoting rights-based civic engagement, SFRSD seeks to strengthen social cohesion and community resilience.

Constructive, evidence-based criticism is viewed as a vital tool for accountability, effective advocacy, and the development of responsive, sustainable leadership.

SFRSD works to support recovery and sustainable development in Syria by improving livelihoods, strengthening community capacities, and fostering inclusive economic growth. Through research-informed programs, partnerships with local communities, and rights-based approaches, the foundation creates opportunities for individuals to build skills, secure dignified livelihoods, and contribute to a more stable and equitable society.
